Starting and finishing at the lively Whitehall Recreation Ground, this exciting 5K route winds through the vibrant streets of Rugby Town Centre, right at the heart of the Love Rugby Festival. Celebrate the town’s rich heritage and dynamic spirit as you run past iconic landmarks—including the historic Rugby School, birthplace of the game, and the beautifully manicured Caldecott Park, an award-winning green space nestled in the town centre. ROAD CLOSURE INFORMATION
PARKING at The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Centre
Access to and paid parking at The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Centre will be available until 8:30am via Bruce Williams Way, or until CarPark is full.
Access from Whitehall Road only. (Hillmorton Road will be closed from 8:00am) Access out of The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Centre will NOT be available whilst the run is on and roads closed.
Road Closures 8:00am > 10:15am
The following roads will be closed for the Love Rugby 5K on Sunday 6th July 2025. These are closed for the safety of runners and spectators and under a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order with the Warwickshire County Council from 8:00am to 10:15am. Diversions will be in place during this time. Emergency vehicle access remains throughout.
A428 Hillmorton Road (Lawrence Sherriff Street) between Temple St and A426 Dynchurch Road
Whitehall Road at A428, Hillmorton Road (will be closed from 8:00am)
Bruce Williams Way
Sheep Street, High Street, Market Place (entire roads)
North Street between Albert Street and Evreux Way
Park Road between Evreux Way and Regent Place
